Almost all summer long, the Municipality of Aradippou and its cultural committee organise cultural nights, bringing local productions to the public. This year, they celebrate 25 years of cultural contribution and as such return with a new programme of events that will run from July 2 to August 4.
The neighbourhoods and squares of Aradippou will fill with a rich programme of events spanning theatrical performances, concerts, children’s festivals, film screenings, shadow theatre shows and other surprises. Best of all, most of the cultural evenings will be offered for free.
Twelve events are scheduled to take place in open-air venues. Some of the programmes’s highlights include the play Love Wins by Antilogos Theatre on July 2, which will also open the event series at Aradippou Lyceum’s outdoor theatre. July 9’s performance is also considered a highlight as it brings to life Life at low Altitude by Arkas, also happening at the Lyceum, though this event has ticketed entry.
Another theatrical production not to miss is The Philarrhythmic Molière – Reimagined by Theatro Roi on July 21 as well as the street party Street Vibes in the Village on July 25 in Agiou Mama Troulloi square. The event will begin with a screening of the film Siege on Liperti Street followed by a party with DJs, street food and drinks.
The curtain falls on August 4 with the song recital Don’t Ask the Sky, dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Helios air disaster in 2005.
