The body of a man was discovered in a field in the Ayia Napa area on Friday morning, the police said.

The remains were discovered by a member of the public, who informed the authorities.

The police arrived at the scene and determined that the man was living in a house near to where he was found.

Police said there were no indications of foul play. A post-mortem is scheduled for 8.30am on Saturday.
