The Nicosia municipal pool reopened its doors to the public on Monday, having been temporarily closed on Sunday afternoon after human waste was found in its larger pool.

“The pool has been cleaned by professionals and is open as usual,” a municipal spokesperson told the Cyprus Mail.

According to the spokesperson, the incident was caused by an infant. After cleaning efforts, the area was reopened for public use on Monday morning.
