Police have launched investigations into the “sudden, unnatural death” of a 56-year-old Greek man who was found dead on the Daleela ferry operating from Athens’ Piraeus port to Limassol on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the man had described a pain in his chest before falling unconscious on the ferry, approximately 20 nautical miles from Cyprus on the way to the island.
Police reportedly examined the scene immediately after the ferry had arrived in Limassol.
An autopsy of the man’s body is expected to provide further insights into the circumstances of his death.
