A 57-year-old man has been arrested in Larnaca as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial and document fraud, the police said on Friday.

The police confirmed the arrest took place on Thursday, with the case involving offences including securing goods by false representation, fraudulent transactions in real estate, forgery, and the circulation of forged documents.

The man is expected to appear before the Larnaca district court on Friday, where police will request a remand.

Investigators are gathering evidence and examining whether others may be linked to the case.
