A loaded pistol was found wrapped in nylon inside an empty plastic container in Droushia in the Paphos area on Wednesday afternoon, police said on Thursday.

According to the police, the firearm was loaded with a magazine.

A scientific examination of the weapon is to be carried out to establish whether it has been used in criminal acts.
