A fire broke out in the chimney of a fast-food restaurant in Larnaca’s Agios Lazaros area on Thursday, injuring a staff member.

The employee was hurt while trying to escape the blaze and reach an open area and was taken by ambulance to Larnaca general hospital.

The Larnaca fire service brought the fire under control and is now completing extinguishing and ventilation efforts.
