Two people were sent to hospital in the early hours of Monday after an accident on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway.

The police said that around 1am two cars crashed near the Mari exit.

Two people were taken by ambulance to hospital for precautionary tests.

Police investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
