With consistency and a genuine commitment to prevention and awareness, Alpha Bank Cyprus took part once again in the campaign for Men’s Health Awareness Month, supporting Movember Cyprus in its effort to promote the message of early diagnosis and care for men’s health.

This year’s initiative held particular significance as it marked the first joint participation of the Bank’s expanded workforce following the completion of the integration of the former AstroBank’s staff, thus highlighting the new unity, cohesion and dynamism that now characterise Alpha Bank Cyprus.

As part of its Corporate Responsibility Programme, a “Shave-off” event was held on November 17, 2025 at the Bank’s headquarters in Nicosia. The MAN-VAN, Movember Cyprus’ specially designed mobile barbershop, was parked at the Bank’s outdoor area, where professional barbers shaved members of staff. Participation in the “Shave-off” served as a symbolic act of awareness and team spirit through which the Bank’s Staff sent a message of support to those fighting prostate cancer.

Elena Constantinou Riri, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Alpha Bank Cyprus, hailed the spirit of the initiative. “Every year, our participation in ‘Movember’ is a reminder that taking care of one’s health begins with awareness and prevention,” she said. “This year, with the strength of our united team, we continued this wonderful tradition with even greater impact, demonstrating that when people share a common purpose they can make a difference.”

By taking part in the Movember campaign, Alpha Bank Cyprus reiterates the message that prevention saves lives, while raising awareness of men’s health is everyone’s responsibility.
