A yellow warning for isolated strong thunderstorms from 5pm on Friday till midnight has been issued by the meteorology department.

The thunderstorms will mainly affect the west and north, where hail can also be expected.

Precipitation intensity locally will range between 35mm and 55mm per hour, the department said.
