A drunk driver was arrested for multiple traffic violations on Thursday, including colliding with two patrol vehicles, police said on Friday.
Around 6.40pm, police pursued a vehicle in Aradippou after the 38-year-old driver failed to stop his car, ran a red light and collided with two patrol vehicles before police apprehended him after he drove into a dead end.
During the chase, two police cars were crashed into, causing damages.
Investigators found he was driving the vehicle without a licence, safety certificate, or certificate of suitability, and with a suspended registration.
An alcotest revealed a reading of 39μg, exceeding the legal limit of 22μg.
