Police have launched an extensive land and air operation to locate Kyriakoula Koutsavaki, 41, who was reported missing from her home in Paphos, after her car was found abandoned near the coast.

In their statement issues on Friday, Paphos police said the woman was last seen at her residence at around 2.30am and has been absent since early morning.

She is described as slim, about 1.80 metres tall, with blonde hair, and is the mother of three children aged five, six and nine.

Searches are being supported by patrols and a helicopter from the air operations squadron based at Paphos Airport, focusing on the areas of Timi, Kouklia, Mandria and Achelia.

Police affirmed “extensive searches are continuing by air and on the ground” after the vehicle was located near the airport, raising serious concern for her safety.
