Paphos resident Kyriakoula Koutsavaki, who was reported missing on Friday morning was found dead at Timi beach, police said on Friday evening.

Police initiated a search operation involving air, land and sea resources in the areas of Timi, Kouklia, Mandria and Achelia to locate the 41-year-old mother of three after her car was found abandoned at the coast of Paphos.

On Friday afternoon, police confirmed that a dead woman’s body had been found in the Timi area, near Paphos airport.

The woman was later identified as Koutsavaki.

Koutsavaki, who had been living in Timi with her children aged five, six and nine, was last seen at her residence at around 2.30am and had been missing since early Friday morning.

The police have confirmed to the local media that an autopsy will be performed in order to establish the woman’s cause of death.

As of Friday night, no further details had been released.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
