A 40-year-old Russian businessman was the target of an attack on a wine shop in Germasogeia on Tuesday morning.

“We are currently at the scene to guard the premises,” the police told the Cyprus Mail.

The police said that shots were fired at the front window of the wine shop at around 4.15am, with officers arriving at the scene shortly after.

The incident did not result in any injuries.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
