The Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Authority (CGC) on Thursday urged the public to practise responsible gambling during the Easter holidays.
The authority called on citizens to enjoy the festive period with moderation and self-control in all gambling-related activities.
It stressed that gambling should be treated strictly as a form of entertainment, not as a way to make money.
The CGC reminded the public that support services remain available throughout the holidays, including the free helpline 1422, specialised support structures and the GambleControl.com platform.
It also encouraged individuals to set clear limits on both the time and money they spend on gambling to avoid risks linked to excessive involvement.
As part of its “Take Control” campaign, the authority urged the public to make informed choices and maintain control, particularly during periods of increased activity such as Easter.
