The public consultation process on the drafted amendments to the legislation on the regulation of petrol stations is now accessible via the online e-Consultation platform, the interior ministry announced on Thursday.
The bill aims to outline a distinct framework of responsibilities between the local authorities and the district governments in the context of the construction, reconstruction, operating, and demolition of petrol stations.
This includes a clearer distinction between responsibilities, effectively making the municipality responsible when the petrol station is located within its municipal boundaries, or the relevant village council when the petrol station is located within its boundaries.
The ministry has called on the public to submit relevant comments on the bill electronically via the “e-Consultation” platform by Friday, May 15.
