Andreas Christophi, the leader of the Agronomos party, which markets itself as a party for farmers, on Wednesday filed his candidacy for the forthcoming parliamentary elections in the Limassol district.
“For us, it is a day of celebration for democracy. Our positions and programme are as clear as day. They will bring change to society and to the people. We will ask for the people’s vote,” he said.
He added, “we have impoverished 60 per cent of the citizenry and it is time to take the right path”.
The party was formed in January and it is not expected to win a seat.
