A fire is raging in the buffer zone in Kaimakli on Friday afternoon and, according to information so far, it appears to be quite big.

The fire brigade is operating in the area with six fire trucks, supported by the forestry department and the Nicosia district administration. Staff has been called in and is on standby.

According to an official update, the fire is burning crops and wild vegetation, and is heading south.
