A fire broke out in an abandoned house near the Larnaca port in the early hours of Thursday.

The fire service said it was informed about the fire at around 4.40am and responded to the scene with three fire engines. No one was found inside the building.

The fire was brought under full control by 5.30am.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
