Musician
Where do you live?
I currently live in Nicosia with my parents (as I’m still in the army) however I will soon live alone in England as of September as I will attend uni (tune in to find out if I’ll survive alone).
What did you have for breakfast?
I have a love-hate relationship with breakfast; sometimes I skip it, sometimes I don’t. If I have breakfast however I usually just have Weetabix (I’m lazy).
Describe your perfect day
Ok so picture this, you wake up early and get ready for a road trip, your friends pick you up and you head off to Troodos for a hike that ends with the group eating at a traditional taverna. You head back home to chill and in the evening, you finish the day at Yiayia’s house for dinner with the family.
Best book ever read?
When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. A neurosurgeon on his last legs as he documents his lung cancer. This book is honestly what inspired me to train to become a neurosurgeon. I 100 per cent recommend it.
Best childhood memory?
Pulling all-nighters with my friends when we had sleepovers, laughing hysterically at every single joke and playing video games in our little fort made of pillows (“all-nighters” as if we didn’t fall asleep by 1 AM).
What is always in your fridge?
Cottage cheese, milk, meat of any kind, dark chocolate and you can’t forget the Caprice next to the ice cream in the freezer.
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Get Scared – The Devil’s In The Details.
What’s your spirit animal?
I would say it would be a golden retriever, but my Patronus is a horse, and I feel like that’s accurate enough.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud of my parents who do everything in their power to spoil me but keep me humble, grateful and modest at the same time. I am proud of my sister who is very successful and wise. I am proud of my friends who through blood, sweat and tears improve themselves and surpass my expectations every single day. Lastly, I am proud of myself for being here to experience all these amazing people.
What movie scene has really stayed with you?
When Bruce Banner turned into The Hulk in the first Avengers movie to punch that alien. There’s no deep reason why it stuck it was simply awesome.
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
The aforementioned Paul Kalanithi is a dead person that I would love to have a chat with. I would learn so much and also nerd out about neuroscience.
If you could time travel when/where would you go?
I would go all the way back to 2010 at a Linkin Park concert to experience Chester Bennington.
What is your greatest fear?
Not reaching my fullest potential. The fear that I am not actively improving myself.
What would you say to your 18-year-old self?
Although 18-year-old me is not that long ago, I would tell myself that life brings everything so unexpectedly that I should not see everything as a certainty.
Name the one thing that would stop you dating someone.
If they smoke.
What would you do if you have 24 hours to live?
I would visit every friend, every family member, every one of my favourite teachers as all these people shaped me into who I am. After that I would play a lot of guitar and violin and lastly, I would sit and read my journal in which I documented my favourite days in the past three years.
