The met office has issued a yellow warning for tomorrow, with temperatures expected to reach around 40C.

The warning will be in effect from 1pm until 3.30pm.

Maximum temperatures in Nicosia are forecast to rise to around 40C, while conditions elsewhere are expected to be less severe.

Residents are advised to limit prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest part of the day and to take precautions against the heat.
