A company car was lightly damaged in a fire that started just after midnight in Limassol.

The police said the car was parked outside the residence of a 62-year-old and that the fire appeared to be a malicious act.

The man managed to put out the fire with an extinguisher before the fire brigade arrived.

The fire damaged the front left tyre of the car.

The scene has been cordoned off for police investigations.
