A 14-year-old boy suffered an epidural haematoma in the early hours of Friday, when the e-scooter he was riding crashed into the back of a parked car.

The boy was admitted to Makarios hospital in Nicosia and his condition is described as stable.

The accident happened in Trachoni, Limassol, at half an hour past midnight under circumstances still under investigation.

The boy was initially taken to Limassol general hospital and later transferred to Nicosia general hospital for further tests, which indicated he had suffered an epidural haematoma. He was then transferred to Makarios general hospital, where he is being treated in the children’s intensive care unit.
