The very first Technopolis 20 Jazz Festival arrives soon as the cultural centre collaborates with the Petridio Foundation and Paphos Municipality to present a two-day celebration of jazz music. Held on October 2 and 3, an impressive selection of artists will gather at Ibrahim’s Khan in the heart of Paphos to present unique programmes full of improvisation, creativity, soul, new collaborations and, of course, jazz.

Invited musicians from the island and abroad will take the stage, showcasing the diverse world of jazz. Audiences can expect renowned jazz classics, timeless standards, contemporary compositions and fresh musical approaches.

On the first day of the programme, the Yerolatsitis/Toumazou/Kutrafali/Tsangaris Quartet will open the festival. Christos Yerolatsitis on keys, Odysseas Toumazou on guitar, Cahit Kutrafali on bass and Nikolas Tsangaris on drums will lead audiences through a rich jazz repertoire.

The second act of the night will be Fuzz Bus, a local ensemble featuring Lefteris Moumtzis, Ermis Michail, Andreas Panteli and Omiros Miltiadous. Closing day one will be Elly Loves Jazz, an ensemble made up of Elly Paspala, David Lynch, Takis Farazis, Petros Varthakouris, Alexandros-Drakos Ktistakis and Tommy Lynch.

The second evening will open with the Ioanna Troullidou Quartet featuring Troullidou on vocals, Marios Toumbas on piano, Eirineos Koulouras on double bass and Ioannis Vafeas on drums. The Reprise Quartet will continue the night as Thomas Lumley picks up his saxophone to join Marios Takoushis on the piano, Cahit Kutrafali on bass and Stelios Xydas on drums.

Renowned Greek singer Nefeli Fasouli will also join the festival on October 3, accompanied by Christos Yerolatsitis, Kyriakos Kestas and Nikolas Tsangaris. Their set will conclude the weekend and the first edition of the festival with soulful sounds and warm vocals.
