The redevelopment of a public space in Prodromi has begun, with the aim of creating a greener and more welcoming area for residents and the local community, Polis Chrysochous deputy mayor Giorgos Georgiou said on Friday.

The project will transform an underused space into a recreational area where residents can relax, meet and attend small events and activities.

The goal was for the area to become a point of reference for Prodromi while respecting its natural environment and character.

He described the project as the beginning of a wider effort to improve public spaces across the municipality’s municipal districts.

The municipality said future projects would focus on residents’ needs and improving everyday life, with the redevelopment marking another step in upgrading Prodromi.
