Arrest after ice machine stolen from outside Paphos restaurant

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft of an ice-making machine worth €3,500 from outside a restaurant in Paphos.

According to police, the theft was reported on Thursday by the owner of the restaurant on Poseidon Avenue that around 6:30 pm on December 29, his ice machine was stolen.

From CCTV, the owner established that a van had driven up to the premises and loaded the ice machine.

He went in search of the van and found it parked on a street in the town and alerted police who tracked down the 36-year-old.

Police are also looking for a second person, aged 39, in connection with the case.
