People over the age of 88 will be able to arrange vaccinations via the vaccination portal from Wednesday morning, the government announced on Tuesday.
The portal is available from 9am for those who have not already been vaccinated or have not yet made an appointment.
Appointments for this age group can be made until February 5.
According to the statement, so far 1,186 appointments for people older than 90 years have been arranged, out of 5,448 which have been made available.
People in this age group can also make appointments on Tuesday.
Vaccinations are carried out by 11 teams in nine vaccination centres operating in all districts.
“At the same time, the Linopetra vaccination centre, Limassol, starts operating, while vaccination teams are being added in Latsia, Lakatamia and Paphos, and the opening hours in Larnaca and the days in Lakatamia and Famagusta are being extended. Therefore, the citizens will be served by a total of 15 crews,” the announcement said.
Depending how many appointments people over 88 years make, slots will be made available for the next age groups.
