ΛΕΜΕΣΟΣ – ΛΗΣΤΕΙΑ ΥΠΑΛΛΗΛΟΥ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑΣ

Police have launched investigations after a foetus was found crudely buried in a bag at a cemetery in Paralimni.

It was not immediately clear how many weeks into development the foetus was.

The incident was reported to the police at around 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon after a member of the public noticed something protruding from an area of freshly dug dirt, next to a grave.

The person discovered that it was a bag with a dead foetus inside, which was later confirmed by the police – who are now looking into possible offences having been committed.

Further details are expected pending an autopsy, with police contacting clinics in the area for other possible information.
