Police booked 169 people and four businesses during the past 24 hours for violations of the of the measures against the spread of coronavirus.

Around 14,000 checks were carried out in all districts.

In Nicosia 71 people and two businesses were fined and 43 individuals and one business in Limassol.

Another 21 individuals were booked in Larnaca while in Paphos police fined 17 people and one business.

Ten people were booked in the Famagusta district and another four in the Morphou area.

Three more people were booked by the traffic police.
