Man in custody after rape claim – reports

Limassol police HQ

Police refused to confirm or deny local media reports on Wednesday that a 19-year-old was in custody in Limassol after a complaint was made by a minor alleging rape two years earlier.

According to her complaint, it was stated that the 19-year-old man picked up the minor – with whom he had a relationship – and drove to a secluded area along with two others, Phileleftheros reported.

After undefined substance use, all three allegedly had sexual contact with the minor.

The 19-year-old has been detained for six days, the reports said.
