Training youthful entrepreneurs

A couple of events that seek to give young people the support and space to grow their skills and dreams in a world that is drastically changing are coming up in February, training them to go after what they want.

One webinar, part of the MESI – Migrant Entrepreneurship for Social Inclusion project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, is scheduled for February 24 to help migrants reach their entrepreneurship goals.

The webinar will explore the needs and challenges experienced by migrant entrepreneurs and present the tools developed by the MESI project to promote migrant entrepreneurship. “We are going to go through a set of good practices on migrant entrepreneurship and provide recommendations for strengthening the impact of similar initiatives! We are going to introduce you to our MESI platform which includes six modules on entrepreneurship and present success stories from migrant entrepreneurs,” say organisers.

Held in English, the session will be held on Zoom and is free to attend. Simply register on the form found on the Facebook event (Promoting and supporting Migrant Entrepreneurship).

Two days later, on February 26, Global Shapers Nicosia will hold an online event at 6pm for aspiring entrepreneurs. START it UP: Roadmap to build and scale-up your Startup invites all those who have innovative ideas and need help in evolving their start-up.

The webinar will provide participants with the opportunity to meet experienced professionals in the fields of law, marketing, and funding, who will share useful information and guidance on what needs to be taken into account to establish and evolve a successful Start-up. Covering both a start-up’s creation and development, participants will receive expert advice on which steps to take and what support schemes are available for them to choose from. Selected Start-up founders will also join and share their experiences, challenges and successes, while also providing useful tips to the participants.

The event, supported by the Youth Board of Cyprus and Youth Makerspace Larnaka, is free and will be held in English via Zoom. It will also be livestreamed on the Global Shapers Nicosia Hub Facebook page.
