The health ministry announced 62 rapid test sites for Sunday, reminding teachers and school staff to get tested for coronavirus.

The highest number of test sites are in Nicosia, 24, while 21 sites will be operating in Limassol, which traced the highest number of Covid-19 cases in the last two weeks.

Rapid testing is offered for free by the health ministry, as a percentage of employees in every company and organisation must get tested for coronavirus every week according to a decree.

The instructions are stricter for teachers and school staff who are all obliged to undergo weekly rapid tests.

“The negative result certificate is a prerequisite for their return to work from March 1 and should be presented during the inspections,” the ministry said.

Students are also advised to undergo rapid tests, with the consent of their parents or guardians, it added.

Self-employed persons, and domestic workers must also get tested every week.
