The health ministry announced that 17,496 vaccination slots will be opening on Wednesday for people aged 69 and above.

Appointments can be made from 9am onwards.

Three vaccines will be available at different centres across the Republic – Pfizer/Biontech, Moderna, and AstraZeneca.

The ministry urged the public to arrive at vaccination centres at the time of their appointment to avoid inconvenience and crowding.

By Monday, authorities had carried out 82,564 vaccinations.

Cyprus expects a rise in available vaccines this month and has opened large centres in all districts in addition to smaller ones.

Fully deployed, crews can carry out 15,000 vaccinations per day.
