Live stream concert to support artists

With the gradual easing of restrictions, some form of cultural life re-appears yet theatres are still struggling and artists still need support. This is what the organisers of an upcoming live stream music concert want to help with as they present an evening intending to financially support local artists.

On Sunday evening musicians will gather at Flea Theatre to live stream a concert to the public with the sums raised going towards artists who have struggled during the past year. Well-known pop-rock band in Cyprus and abroad, Fuse will perform on the evening after an opening set.

The first 30 viewers to purchase the €10-tickets from parastasi.live will get to enjoy a pre-show at 6.30pm, then the teachers of the Mousikoi Orizontes music school as the opening set before Fuse take the stage at 7.30pm. The event this Sunday is a co-production between Music.Net.Cy, RED Music Stage and band Fuse and hopes to be the first online interactive concert to support artists in Cyprus but hopefully not the last.

“Art does not only need workers,” say the organisers, “it also needs leaders.”
