Wallet stolen from unlocked car in Larnaca

Euro Banknotes In Wallet

A 72-year-old man reported to police on Monday afternoon that his wallet containing a large amount of money was stolen from his car which he had left unlocked.

He said he did not know when and where the wallet, which he had left unattended parked in various areas of Larnaca, was taken.

After the theft was reported, police issued a statement saying in case items have to be left in vehicles they should be placed in the luggage compartment or under the seats.

“Always lock the doors and close the windows, even if the car is parked in front of your house,” the statement said.
