Man sought by Russian authorities arrested in Peyia

Paphos police on Thursday arrested a man wanted for financial fraud in Russia.

Interpol Moscow informed Cyprus on February 4 that the 66-year-old man was wanted by Russian authorities.

He was arrested at his residence in Peyeia under a warrant on Thursday.

Following his arrest he appeared before the Paphos district court where the court decided his case will be heard on March 23 and he will remain in custody until then.
