Britney Spears breaks silence over controversial documentary

Singer and pop celeb Britney Spears has broken her silence about the ‘Framing Britney Spears’ documentary in the caption of her latest Instagram post.

“I didn’t watch the documentary, but from what I did see of it, I was embarrassed by the light they put me in,” she wrote on the social media platform.

The documentary focuses on Britney Spears’ rise to fame, chronicling her relationship with Justin Timberlake, the way the media shamed her and how she handled the paparazzi.

According to the documentary’s director, Samantha Stark, the film’s production team had reached out to Britney for her own input for the project, without success.
