Decoding the messages behind your dog’s body language

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs. Also, consider choosing your animal companion from a shelter, where there are so many wonderful furry friends who need a forever home.

It’s part of the most rewarding parts of bringing a furry friend into your family: learning their own ‘vocabulary’ and getting better and better at understanding the messages they send to us about their needs, fears and invitations to bond.

That said, there are things that dogs communicate that can get ‘lost in translation’. In this video, dog trainer and counsellor Jody Karow, CTC, helps demystify the messages behind your pooch’s body language that you may have been missing.
