Driver eight times over limit arrested after collision

Police arrested a woman who caused an accident while driving more than eight times over the alcohol limit in Limassol on Tuesday.

The accident happened at 4pm when the car the 43-year-old was driving collided with a parked car in Germasogia.

Both cars were slightly damaged, but nobody was injured.

The driver underwent a breathalyser which showed a reading of 182μg%, eight times the legal limit of 22μg%.

She was arrested and is being detained while police investigate.
