Coronavirus: Three businesses fined for breaking protocols

Police carried out 10,150 checks and booked 148 individuals for disregarding coronavirus protocols during the 24 hours until Thursday morning.

A barber in Limassol was fined €500 for not displaying the correct signage, the manager of a sports association was ordered to pay €500 because a large number of people gathered outside the premises and a barber in Limassol had to pay €500 because an employee was not wearing a protective mask.

In Nicosia 2,380 checks were carried out, in Limassol 2,936, in Larnaca 1,369, in Paphos 950, in Famagusta 1,207 and in Morphou 622.

Traffic police conducted another 668 inspections.
