Coronavirus: five businesses, 38 people booked

Five businesses and 38 people were booked during the past 24 hours for violations of the measures against the spread of coronavirus.

In Nicosia, a bar was fined for serving more people than the maximum number permitted and for letting customers dance. A restaurant in the same district was booked for serving customers past the operating hours.

Two shops were booked in Limassol for letting in more customers than the maximum number while a restaurant in the Famagusta district was found to serve people inside. Restaurants are currently allowed to serve customers only in external areas.

Between 6 am Saturday and 6 am Sunday police also booked 38 individuals: nine in Nicosia, 10 in Limassol, four in Larnaca, nine in Paphos, and six in the Famagusta district.
