Police seize duty-free tobacco, laughing gas

A total of 4,700 grammes of duty-free tobacco, 87 counterfeit logo T-shirts and 3,813 laughing gas ampoules were confiscated after police and customs checks in the Famagusta district.

Police and the customs department searched five stores and establishments in the Famagusta district between 10am and 3pm on Monday for counterfeit products or products for which duties had not been paid.

The business owners where the illegal products were found were reported by the customs department.

Officers also confiscated a bat and an air gun from one business.
