€20,000 stolen from parked van in Limassol

Police are investigating the theft of €20,000 from a parked vehicle in Limassol on Friday.

Limassol CID received a complaint from the owner of the car, a 51-year-old man, according to whom a bag containing the large sum of money was stolen from his van, which he had left unlocked for about half an hour.

Aside from the money, the bag contained the man’s regular and professional driving licences, four bank cheques and two credit cards.

In order to prevent similar incidents, police have repeatedly urged people to avoid leaving money or other valuable items inside cars, even when they are locked.
