Cat-walking and harness-training: top tips and benefits

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs. Also, consider choosing your animal companion from a shelter, where there are so many wonderful furry friends who need a forever home.

In this video, veterinarian Dr. Alex Avery discusses the benefits of using a harness to walk cats safely.

That said, however, and depending on each family’s individual neighbourhood conditions, the safety benefits of keeping a pet cat protected from attacks from local strays, or getting hit by cars, or even poisoned by malicious residents, while getting their exercise, can outweigh the temporary discomfort of harness-training.
