The vaccination portal will reopen for more age groups in the coming week, the health ministry said on Thursday.

Cyprus remains third in vaccinations among EU member states with 71 doses per 100 inhabitants.

New data presented by the ministry shows that as of June 2, 32.6 per cent of the population is fully vaccinated against Covid-19, with 54.1 per cent having received one dose.

Moving towards the goal of vaccinating at least 65 per cent of the population with at least one dose, the ministry announced that the vaccination portal will reopen for four different age groups in the coming week.

Starting with those aged 28 to 32, the portal will open at 7.30am on Friday June 4 and close at 5.30pm on Saturday June 5.

Those aged between 23 and 27 will be able to book vaccine appointments between 7.30 on Monday June 7 and 5.30pm on Tuesday June 8.

At 7.30am on Wednesday June 9, the portal will reopen for 18–22-year-olds and stay open until 5.30pm on Thursday June 10.

Lastly, those aged 40 and over will have another chance to book an appointment between 7.30am on Friday June 11 and 5.30 on Saturday June 12.

Vaccinations will continue at vaccination centres islandwide with all available vaccines, the ministry said.
