Turkish trade minister backs two-state solution

A protocol and agreements signed with the north will open the way for trade with Turkey, Turkish minister of trade Mehmet Muş said on Sunday.

A staunch supporter of a two-state solution, he said the authority of the north will not take the smallest step backwards.

Visiting the north on Sunday, he said the goods produced there will be promoted on the Turkish market and this will act as a start for recruitment.

This “state”, he said, will be here, it will preserve its sovereignty. “In fact, it will not step back even a millimetre from the sovereignty of the ‘TRNC’,” the Turkish minister said.
