Epic received its new award by umlaut during a virtual handover ceremony

Epic has received its 4^th award in a row in recognition of the quality of its network. During a recent web event, umlaut, the international measurements and testing company, has once again awarded Epic as the “Best Mobile Network in Test” after a series of independent benchmarks. The new award seals the undeniable superiority and dynamic of the Epic network which is at the top of the mobile networks of Cyprus.

Epic has previously been awarded by Ookla twice in a row as the “Fastest Mobile Network in Cyprus”. The consecutive awards received by Epic from the independent international benchmarking organizations umlaut and Okla, have established Epic as the No. 1 mobile network in Cyprus while proving in practice that the company remains true to its commitment to provide a state-of-the-art network, combined with great value.

Awarding the prize to Epic, Hakan Ekmen, umlaut CEO Telecommunication, commented: “Epic presents the best user experience in Cyprus with a remarkable overall score of 911 out of 1000. Referring to the details of what makes the best mobile network in Cyprus, the CTIO of Epic Yiannis Michailides referred to the plan that was followed: “A good plan is simply wishful thinking, if it’s not followed by a perfect execution. According to the measurements, carried out throughout Cyprus during the period 27/7/2020 to 10/1/2021, umlaut has again ranked Epic in the first place among the national mobile networks, receiving the highest overall score (911 points, on a scale 1 – 1000). With the new evaluation, the Epic network has secured the first place in the three main categories Coverage, Speed and Latency as well as in individual measurements. Compared to its competitors in the market, the Epic mobile network stood out in the following subcategories:

Coverage: Coverage Excellence, Time on Broadband

Speed: Speeds supporting HD, Speeds supporting UHD Video

Latency: Best Gaming Class, Best OTT Voice Class

The “Best Mobile Network in Test” certification is the second award that Epic receives from umlaut.
