Easy Lebanese arayes (spiced meat pitta pockets)

In this video, Obi, host of the Middle Eats YouTube channel, demos how to make delicious Lebanese arayes that take about 20 minutes to make and grill.

Arayes is a popular street food in Lebanon consisting of grilled or oven-baked pitta pockets stuffed with spiced ground beef or lamb. They’re incredibly tasty, and make for excellent appetisers or even a main meal.

To speed up prep, the meat filling can be prepared a day or two ahead of time and kept covered in the fridge. The good news is if you make too much, the leftover can easily be frozen for later use.

Give them a try – you’ll be glad you did!
