Two men remanded for shooting

A 26-year-old and 30-year-old were remanded for four days on Wednesday by Larnaca court in connection with a shooting.

The two men were arrested on Tuesday morning by Larnaca CID assisted by the counter terrorism unit’s assistance.

The shooting took place outside a residence in the early hours of February 19. A 39-year-old resident notified the police.

No one was injured but the residence and a nearby vehicle were damaged.

Used and unused shell casings were found, and came from an automatic firearm, according to CID investigations.

The 39-year-old lives with his wife and child on the top floor and his parents reside on the ground floor.

CID investigations are ongoing.
