Coronavirus: Restaurant fined €1,500 for serving customers with no SafePass

In the last 24 hours, more than 5,000 inspections were carried out by police islandwide to catch people who were out and about without authorisation from the state.

In all 88 people were booked, most for not covering their faces in public, while seven people out for a meal were booked for not having a SafePass.

The owners of seven establishments were booked for various Covid offences, one of which in Nicosia was fined €1,500 for serving people who did not have a SafePass.
