The mountains are a great place to be during the summer, escaping to higher grounds for cooler temperatures, fresh air and refreshing rivers. Many flock to mountain villages and the Troodos mountain range during the hot months and in recent years a few events have found shelter in the island’s forests and hillsides as well. One such event is coming up in August and it invites the public for a three-day experience in Platres.

Agro Cyprus promotes adventure and agrotourism through organising athletic and other events with a charitable spirit. This August, it invites crowds to escape the peak of summer with a weekend getaway to the Platres forest. The three-day event, between August 13 and 15, will include an open-air cinema, an athletic event, music throughout and an exclusive Leggo experience.

The sporting event will be a midday waterfall hike on Saturday before the music takes over in the afternoon and evening. Groovy sunset beats will sound along with techno music and dance hits with a DJ line-up to be announced soon on the Facebook event (3-day Forest Event). More music will follow on Sunday with R&B, dance and reggaeton tunes while the Leggo Experience also takes place. What this will include is still a mystery as the organisers haven’t revealed what the Leggo Experience will entail. It’s a surprise to be explored then!

Of course, food trucks, drinks, coffees and all the usual amenities will be on along with a shisha lounge. The forest event is described as an exclusive happening with only a few tickets for the weekend. Pre-sales aren’t live yet but the organisers are getting ready to launch them soon so keep an eye out on the Facebook event.
